Chile entry requirements


As of November 1st, the following entry requirements correspond to the current, official information. These announcements are recent and a complete protocol for entry should be out during the week.


CURRENT INFORMATION ON ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


  • Before entering the country, the vaccines received in one's own country must be confirmed so that a mobility passport (pase de movilidad) can be issued from Chile. The application for recognition of vaccines is made through the following page https://mevacuno.gob.cl/. Make sure this is the first step you take when planning your trip to Chile as it may take some time.

  • Complete the electronic form "Affidavit of the Traveler" up to 48 hours before boarding, in which you must provide your contact information, health and location history. This form will include a QR code as a means of verification. It can be completed at https://www.c19.cl/en.html

  • Tourists entering the country must have travel health insurance covering an amount of USD 30,000.

  • Proof of a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before boarding is still required. A PCR test is carried out again at the destination airport in Chile.

  • A PCR test is carried out at the destination airport in Chile. While the results are pending guests are asked to isolate at a hotel, private residence or similar locations. Once the test is negative, travelers can continue their itinerary.

On the official website https://chile.travel/en/traveltochileplan you will find the updated entry requirements as well as further information. There is no official date for the reopening of Easter Island at the moment.
