Rapa Nui electric ground operations

An update from our partner Turavion:

RAPA NUI - LATAM introduces Latin America's first fully electric ground operations

At Mataveri International Airport, LATAM has implemented Latin America's first fully electric ground support system for servicing its aircraft, marking a concrete step toward decarbonization by reducing fossil fuel use and noise levels in one of Chile's most unique ecosystems. It also demonstrates that more sustainable solutions can be successfully deployed even in remote locations.

The company believes that Rapa Nui's exceptional environmental and cultural value calls for the highest operational standards and a long-term commitment to sustainability, and we, as a DMC in Chile, welcome this decision.

LATAM has also been recognized as a "Five-Star Global Airline" by APEX for the fourth consecutive year, based on verified passenger reviews worldwide.
