FFV: Discover the Caribbean's Cultural Heartbeat at Festival del Caribe 2026
An update from our partner FFV:
From 3rd to 9th July 2026, Santiago de Cuba will host the 45th Festival del Caribe, internationally known as the Fiesta del Fuego. For one vibrant week, the city becomes a living stage where music, dance, and centuries-old traditions take over streets, plazas, and cultural venues. Artists, scholars, and travellers from across the Caribbean and beyond gather to celebrate the region's shared heritage.
The 2026 edition honours the Afro-descendant communities of Colombia, highlighting their cultural legacy through performances, exhibitions, and collaborative artistic exchanges.
Festival highlights include colourful street parades and comparsas; live performances of rumba, son, Haitian vodou drumming, and percussion ensembles; folkloric rituals and community ceremonies; as well as workshops, lectures, and themed exhibitions.
More than a festival, the Fiesta del Fuego is a powerful expression of Caribbean identity - an immersive experience that invites visitors to connect with the region's cultural heartbeat.
